Material Planner (Wikowice - Poland)

Description and tasks

Role Purpose:

To ensure correct schedules are transmitted to the suppliers on a regular and timely basis. Ensuring all shipment dates are in line with the schedules. To ensure all correspondence and communications with the supplier are carried in a timely and professional manner at all times.

Role reports to Material Planning Manager (UK)

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain and develop existing and new suppliers through appropriate communications

Analyse and interpret schedules to the suppliers to ensure on time deliveries

Analyse, communicate with and schedule on tier 2 suppliers ensuring JIT deliveries whilst minimising inventory holdings

Ensure the material planning cycle is accurately reflected in our MRP (Material Planning) system

To be responsible for and the first point of contact for specific suppliers maintain and develop existing suppliers development plans and progress shortages to ensure on time deliveries

Analyse, evaluate and action MRP (Material Planning) to ensure maximum on time deliveries with minimum inventory holding

Continually work to improve working processes, on time deliveries and cost reductions in conjunction with other departments

Maintain data integrity and support finance, quality and dispatch teams with day to day operations

Support other team members customers during holiday periods and sickness

Liaise and attend meetings with other departments to aid business and organisational development

Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills

Knowledge of and adherence to ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and IATF 16949

Knowledge of and adherence to Bulten Group & Bulten Ltd Health and Safety Policy and procedures

Knowledge of and adherence to Bulten Ltd Environmental Policy

To assist as required with any other reasonable request in line with business needs or customer/client requirements

Candidate Profile

Essential:

·         Microsoft Office including excel

·         English language (spoken, reading and in writing)

Desirable:

·         A Level or Degree level education

·         Previous supply chain experience

·         Working as part of a team

·         Working in an office based role

·         Telephony experience

Material Planning systems knowledge
