At the end of August, Bulten completed the acquisition of Exim (Exim & Mfr Holdings Pte Ltd), a Singapore-based distributor of fasteners and other C parts. Exim established in 1982 in Singapore, Exim & Mfr Enterprise provides quality-assured fasteners, electro-mechanical components, sleevings / tubings, wires, wiring management accessories and C-parts to multinational manufacturers and equipment makers across diversified industries.

In this role, you will play a key part in identifying and developing reliable suppliers, evaluating technical solutions, optimizing costs, and building strong supplier partnerships that support the company’s growth.

1. Identify potential manufacturers and suppliers for fasteners, mechanical parts, electro-mechanical hardware, sleevings and tubings, insulating materials, moulded parts, and branded items.
2. Source potential suppliers in accordance with specifications and request for quotation (RFQ) requirements.
3. Drive cost optimization through competitive sourcing, price analysis, cost negotiations and identification of alternative suppliers and solutions.
4. Conduct price negotiations and establish commercial terms, ensuring competitive pricing and favorable contractual arrangements while maintaining long-term supplier relationships
5. Build and manage strong supplier relationships, working closely with suppliers to improve quality, cost, delivery, responsiveness, and overall performance.
6. Manage the company’s sourcing software and monitor sourcing activities, including enquiry productivity, enquiry hit rates, response rates, and overall sourcing effectiveness.
7. Develop and implement sourcing controls and processes to improve enquiry setup, tracking, visibility, and follow-up.
8. Other duties as assigned

Pre-requisites:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
2. Min 3-5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement or supply chain management
3. Proficient in both written and spoken English.
4. Possess Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical knowledge
5. Familiarity with machining, sheet metal fabrication, plastics, rubber, die-casting, electronics, cable assemblies, and electro-mechanical commodities will be an added advantage.
