Plant Liaison Manager (Nitra, Slovakia)

Description and tasks

This position is to be based in the JLR Nitra plant in Slovakia

Role Purpose:

The role exists to act as the on site management of the supply of material to the relevant program. Responsible for all aspects of the program which also includes the management of the supply chain to ensure part availability, management of the local 3PL contracted to supply parts to the line and accountability to the local management team on potential issues and management of resolution on such issues. Main point of contact for all schedule queries ensuring Bulten are receiving the correct forecasting information.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Act as first point of contact for the customer plant on all issues relating to the business between Bulten and the plant
Liaise with wider Bulten team to ensure issues raised by the customer are forwarded to the correct responsible person and ensure responses are issued in a timely manner, as requested
Attend meetings with all departments in the customer plant to monitor Bulten performance to the plant and discuss possible areas of improvement of service. Report meeting content to Bulten FSP Operations Manager
Liaise with nominated 3PL and be point of contact for issues with 3PL for Bulten team
Assist all Bulten departments with daily tasks to ensure smooth running of business in customer plant
Liaise and attend meetings with other departments to aid business and organizational development
Travel to other Bulten locations as required to attend meetings / training
Assist as required with any reasonable request in line with business needs or customer/client requirements
Knowledge of and adherence to ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and IATF 16949
Responsible for the communication and adherence of all direct reports to Bulten Group & Bulten Ltd Health and Safety Policy and procedures
Manage Zero Stock Calls parts – inform Poland on this and follow the process until it is resolved
Manage the “10 days stock report” on a daily basis and I share it with Polish Team, check DLs for critical parts of the report
Manage  the Running Change process to ensure get a smooth change at lineside. Working to a precise run-out date or manage the Running Change Team to postpone / implement earlier the change of the parts.  Manage the Espack team on-site to ensure parts are packed correctly into stocking units.  Follow up this closely with the Polish Team
Manage the packaging of the parts at lineside and if they do not fit correctly in the rack, open up the discussion with JLR Nitra on having this corrected.  Manage stocking units with the Polish team for any new parts
Manage the reverse logistics for the empties together with Bulten Poland Teams
Manage all DHL / UPS special deliveries for Nitra – Europe (Bergkamen, Poland, Sweden, UK ); create documents for Customs Clearance and follow up this process until the packages are delivered to Bulten w

Candidate Profile

Essential:

Experience of working in an automotive or Manufacturing or FSP environment.

Experience in a senior customer service role or equivalent.

Experience in conducting business in both the local language and English

Project Management Experience.

Experience of working within a continuous improvement culture.

 

Desirable:

Knowledge of and adherence to ISO 14001, ISO 45001 & IATF16949

Knowledge of and adherence to Bulten Health & Safety Policy

Knowledge of and adherence to Bulten Environmental Policy

Knowledge of Supply Chain, understanding warehouse practices transport requirements
