Warehouse Operative - Nights (Scunthorpe)

Description and tasks

Role Purpose:

To ensure all materials are placed in the warehouse and picked from the warehouse in a safe manner. Shipments are packed accurately and in a timely manner to ensure deadlines are met.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Ensure all stock is located accurately in the correct locations

Ensuring all prepared shipments are picked/moved to dock using the MDC (Mobile data capture) in a safe and timely manner

Ensure daily checks are carried out on MHE (MACHINE HANDLING EQUIPMENT) and warehouse racking to ensure the safety of both staff and equipment

Ensure all packing orders are completed in accordance with the requirements of the customer

Ensure packaging is produced using the box erectors in a safe and timely manner

Ensure all MHE is used in accordance with the relevant work instructions

Ensure all accidents, near misses or areas of concern are raised to the Warehouse Team Leader in a timely manner

Ensure the warehouse is kept in a clean, tidy and safe environment, minimising risk

Participate in the Company training and development activities in “My Talentsoft”, including E-Learning activities

Provide feedback to Warehouse Employee Forum representative on all Company initiatives to develop improved working practices that drive employee engagement

Participate in the Annual Development dialogue campaign in “My Talentsoft”

Participate in the Employee Engagement survey within “My Talentsoft” in line with Bulten Group campaigns

Support the business with deliveries of stock/parts to customers/suppliers in the Company vehicle, as required

As required, undertake in external First Aid training on behalf of Bulten Ltd to support the Company in line with the H&S strategy

As required, undertake in external Fire Marshal training on behalf of Bulten Ltd to support the Company in line with the H&S strategy

Skills Matrix, as required, provide specialist training to colleagues and agency workers to ensure required competency levels are achieved within required timescales

Be multiskilled in all operational areas of Warehouse operations, in line with the Skills Matrix

Attend internal/external training courses to develop required additional skills, as required by the Company

Knowledge of and adherence to Work Instructions relevant to the roles

Knowledge of and adherence to ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and IATF 16949

Knowledge of and adherence to Bulten Group & Bulten Ltd Health and Safety Policy and procedures

Knowledge of and adherence to Bulten Ltd Environmental Policy

Assist as required with any other reasonable request in line with business needs or customer/client requirements

Candidate Profile

Essential:

Warehousing experience

Desirable:

FLT Reach/Counter balance licence

Automotive parts experience

Customer/Client focused

Use of PPT (Power Pallet Truck)

Our Offer

Full time permanent position work (4 x 10 hour nightshifts per week)

Monday to Thursday (21:00 - 07:00) 38 hours per week

Salary (including shift premium) is £32,488.87 per annum

3 month probationary period

26.5 days holiday (including bank holidays) per year (pro rata)
