Job title

Quality Technician

Description and tasks

This position is responsible to meet and maintain Quality systems for Manufacturing processes. Drive all QMS requirements to meet customer expectation and compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 4001, ISO 45001 & IATF 16949

 

Responsibilities:

·         Be aware of and maintain the group quality processes

·         Perform Production related inspections (1st, EOR & In-Process checks)

·         Perform Inspection checks on incoming product from Outside Suppliers

·         Assist in PPAP data collection: MSA Studies & Capability Studies

·         Create/update work instructions and operating procedures for new or changed processes

·         Implement, Audit and Validate all functions required for both ISO 9001, ISO 4001, ISO 45001 & IATF 16949

·         Implement, support and help create work instructions of all functional areas including flow charts

·         Support the Quality & EHS Management Systems

·         Assist the organization in problem solving and the application of appropriate tools in both containment and permanent solution

·         Support the organization for the APQP, PPAP and new part implementation process.

·         Support Internal/External CAR’s, 8D’s, Root Cause, CA – Customer responses

·         Maintain a safe and healthy working environment.

·         Be aware of and support the Quality Manual

·         Assist the organization in problem solving and the application of appropriate tools in both containment and permanent solution

·         Support the organization with APQP and PPAP competence

·         Help monitor production processes to ensure that customer requirements and production schedules are being met.

·         Personnel care (e.g., annual development dialogue rehabilitation, performance follow up, development of skills)

·         Advise management from a quality perspective

·         Provide technical training to other quality department personnel and machine operators

·         Serve as a customer contact on quality issues

·         Maintain/Implement 6S standards

·         Other duties as assigned

 

 

Shall adhere to all safety, health and environmental procedures, policies and practices such as; utilizing personal protective equipment and proper attire in keeping with safety standards.  Comply with all ISO 4001, ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and ISO-45001 procedures and work instructions.

Candidate Profile

Demonstrates the ability to understand and interpret drawings and specifications

Proficient with MS Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and other software programs.

Previous experience working in Quality

Computer application skills – ERP systems & Quality Management Systems
