Job title

Purchasing/Planner

Description and tasks

This position is responsible to ensure correct purchasing/planning of traded products, raw material, and MRO are transmitted to the suppliers on a regular and timely basis. Ensuring all shipment dates are in line with the schedules. To ensure all correspondence and communications with the supplier are carried in a timely and professional manner at all times.

Responsibilities:

· Knowledge of export and import customs procedures and regulations

· To ensure booking of transport and special freight is on time and to the Bulten process

· Liaising and working closely with the relevant quality teams in regard to supplier quality issues

· Continual communication with internal Bulten facilities to ensure they are receiving demand signals in a timely manner and address any expedite requests initiated by customers

· Direct, Indirect and MRO purchasing (Raw Material, Washers, Oil, Non MFG tools, etc.)

· To work closely with customer service, commercial, finance, quality, operations, materials, and warehousing to ensure day to day operations run smoothly

· Continually work to improve processes, on time deliveries and cost reductions in conjunction with other departments

· Own responsibility for all traded stock making sure target stock as % of future sales is achieved

· Develop and review plant production plans and schedules and associated inventory targets

· Responsible to report on inventory to include days on hand, stock outs, all variances, and safety stock

· Prospect and identify new suppliers, initiate onboarding new suppliers (Canea)

· Accurate pricing and negotiations

· Develop capacity plans and review capacity utilization and make recommendations with the appropriate personnel

· Responsible for supporting/analyzing all customer releases in order to create an effective trade schedule (with customer service) and communicating this schedule to the purchasing professional

· Continuous Improvement on Utilization/OEE/production Efficiency results

· Maintain/Implement 6S standards

· Support other team members customers during holiday periods and sickness

· Liaise and attend meetings with other departments to aid business and organizational development

· Other duties as assigned

Shall adhere to all safety, health and environmental procedures, policies and practices such as; utilizing personal protective equipment and proper attire in keeping with safety standards. Comply with all ISO/IATF 16949 and ISO-45001 procedures and work instructions.

Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s degree or a relevant discipline/experience
5+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial materials capacity preferred.
Advanced communication, interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving, and time and priority
Experience using data analysis programs, and related software, ERP software, Microsoft Office is a plus. Working in an international/global environment.
Experience from managing, leading and motivate personnel, including remote management.
