Customer Quality Assurance

Description and tasks

Are you passionate about ensuring customer satisfaction and driving quality excellence? We are looking for a Customer Quality Assurance professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and coordinating customer concerns and complaints, managing customer-specific requirements, and supporting the Sales organization in all customer quality matters. This position will give you the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, ensuring top-tier quality and satisfaction for our customers. The position is based at Bulten’s newly expanded and modern headquarters in Högsbo, Gothenburg, or in Bielsko-Biala, Poland, and you will report directly to the Manager Customer Quality.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Quality control of non-conforming products and raising/ tracking concerns with factories and suppliers.
  • Conduct corrective and preventive actions through 8D/5Y reports.
  • Manage the 8D process for customer-reported issues.
  • Use quality tools like 5 Why, fishbone diagrams, and is/is not analysis.
  • Ensure product traceability via the M3 system.
  • Oversee containment and inspections for customer claims.
  • Handle warranty complaints and manage customer portals.
  • Manage internal 8D processes and ensure all criteria are met.
  • Interpret customer drawings (GD&T) and use measurement equipment.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly quality reports aligned with KPIs.
  • Track 8D progress and ensure KPI achievement.
  • Manage recharges, update trackers
  • Report customer quality related line stops.
  • Monitor customer complaints and rejected part quantities.
  • Record costs of poor quality
  • Manage customer scorecards.
  • Manage customer-specific requirements and support Sales in quality matters.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects and customer interactions.
  • Chair meetings, report on quality issues, and lead customer visits.

Candidate Profile


We are looking for a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills and a background in quality assurance or engineering. It is advantageous to have experience in 5Y/8D processes and hold a minimum of an ONC-level engineering qualification, as well as:

  • Knowledge of ISO standards (14001, 45001, IATF 16949)
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and PPAP documentation
  • Experience supporting internal quality audits
  • Understanding of environmental policies and adherence to core values
